Time, Love, Cash, Care, & Children (TLC3)

In the Time, Love, Cash, Care, and Children study (TLC3), interviewers conducted in-depth ethnographic interviews over the course of four years with a subsample of 75 romantically involved couples in the Fragile Families and Child Wellbeing Study in three cities – Milwaukee, Chicago and New York. The interviews began two to three months after the baby’s birth, with follow-up waves at 12, 24, and 36 months. The in-depth, semi-structured interviews covered parents’ relationship with their partners, the division of household labor, and ideals and norms about marriage and fatherhood. This is the qualitative substudy of the Fragile Families and Child Wellbeing Study.
