Understanding and Using Ohio Research on Programs for Young Children

NCCF was asked to evaluate the rigor of evaluation studies of select Ohio-based programs and services that support the development of young children. Studies were scored according to three criteria: Study Validity, Nature and Magnitude of Program Effects, and Program Replicability. A final report produced a compendium describing all programs and analyzing their evaluation study. It also categorized studies according to their scores on these scales, summarized trends in the strengths and weaknesses of study design, and made recommendations for replicating and evaluating programs.
